Anne and I after we stepped off the train in Stoke-on-Trent
The men picked us up after golfing and we drove about 4 hours to Scotland. Thanks to "Carmen" our lady Garmin navigator we have easily made it through traffic and got to each of our destinations without incident! When we got to Edinburgh we found our hotel and then walked along the Royal Mile. It was a very chilly night but we saw a lot of tartan kilts, swords and cashmere clothes and scarfs. Scotland is green and lush and beautiful but compared to England it has been cold, cloudy and rainy. The days are very long and the sun rises at 4:30 am and sets at 10:30am. Even though they say it rises and sets at those times it is still light at midnight and at 3:00am. Scotland is beautiful!>

Day 7 (Stoke-on-Trent and Second Chance Belfry)
Our day started out early as we checked out of our hotel in Leicester and packed the car at 6:15 am so Dave and Dave could get to their tee time at the Belfry. Anne and I went by taxi and train to a town called Stoke-on-Trent which is about 60 miles from Leicester. We visited some factory outlets looking for fine bone china. Stoke-on-Trent is known for thier pottery and china and we did find a Wedgewood factory.
