Day 5 (Wimbledon and Wicked)

On Wednesday we spontaneously decided to try to get tickets into Wimbledon. We got up early and took the Underground to Wimbledon and waited in queue/line for 3 hours. We barely made it into Wimbledon Park by the skin of our teeth. They only allow a little over 9500 non ticket holders and our numbers were 9537-9540. We made it in and it was so exciting to be there. It was incredible to watch professional tennis players up close and personal and to enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of Wimbledon...definately a once in a life time opportunity!

Wow! Dave shot this photo right at the point of impact.

As you would expect, Wimbledon attracts the best in the world.

There are 18 or more tennis courts at Wimbledon that are busy most of the time. It was fun going from court to court watching singles and doubles matches.

This is Dave and I waiting in a very organized line wondering if we would get into Wimbledon.

Strawberries and Cream is a tradition at Wimbledon and we HAD to take part in it. YUM! It was soooooooooooooooooooo good!

We rushed from Wimbledon to our hotel to grab the tickets to the theatre. We quickly hailed a cab which got us there in the knick of time as the curtain opened. Wicked was totally wicked!!! We loved it. The music is fun and the story is so creative. The theatre, costumes, talent, sets were incredible! We definately want to someday take the girls to see it in New York.

What a show! We loved it.
